History of The Accra City Conference of Seventh-day Adventist Church
Established in 1894, renamed and reorganized in 2016 and 2017, Accra City Conference has pioneered the work of God in the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the southern part of Ghana through strong believers. We received conference status since 1987 under the able leadership of various prestigious and prominent leaders with the vision to win more souls to the kingdom of heaven.
The re-organization of Adventism in the southern part of the country under the administration of the Ghana Conference in Kumase was led by Pastor D.N. Agboka, with a Branch Sabbath School of the Hansen Road. In 1959, eighteen (18) souls were baptized into the church fellowship to increase the membership. The Hansen Road church embarked upon evangelism to plant churches of; Labone, Odorkor, Tema, Bubuashie Abeka and Accra Newtown.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Accra City Conference is to call all people within our geographical areas of Accra Metropolitan Assembly, Ga South, Ga West, Ga East and Ledzorkuku-Krowor Municipalities to become disciples of Jesus Christ, to proclaim the everlasting Gospel embraced in the three angels' messages (Revelation 14:6-12), and to prepare the entire field for Christ soon return.
Vision Statement
That Accra City Conference will grow and multiply through proclamation of the everlasting gospel in the context of the three angels’ message of Revelation 14:6 – 12, leading members to become Christ – centered, Holy Spirit directed, Evangelism driven and Spirit of Prophecy utilizing community in preparation for the soon return of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Scripture is our foundation. “Grounded in the Bible” affirms our reliance on the Word of God as the bedrock of our faith, doctrine, direction and daily life. Before programmes, strategies, or organisational charts, we let the Bible and the bible only define who we are, what we believe, how we lead and how we minister.
